In 2016 kitesurfing will make its debut appearance at the thirty-first Olympic Games in Rio De Janeiro. It seems fitting therefore that whilst the London Olympics are in full swing, a group of elite kite surfers should get together and organise a mammoth demonstration of their sporting prowess and power. Cue the Global Kiter Foundation (GKF), who today kicked off a massive kitesurfing endurance race...

Two of the U.K.’s leading kite surfers battled it out over a ten day period at the EDP Kite Surf Pro Cascais World Championship Tour last week. Stephen Park, the Sailing Team Manager at the British Olympic Association has suggested that star windsurfer, Nick Dempsey, should take-up kiting in order to adapt to the decision to ditch his sport at Rio 2016 in favour of kite surfing. The comments came in reaction to Dempsey’s condemnation of the International Sailing Federation’s reshuffle of Olympic sailing disciplines, which he labelled “bizarre”...

The Lefkadi Kiteboarder Fundraising Endurance Race was staged in conjunction with kitepark.gr and took place in Greece a few days ago.
