Tim Walker and Jemima Knight Triumph At Student Surf Tour.
Last weekend, Croyde Bay in Cornwall played host to the U.K.’s National Student Surf Tour. The event was blessed with unseasonable warmth and sunshine, which, alongside excellent waves, made for a particularly successful 3-day contest. Tim Walker from the Falmouth student surf team took the men’s crown, with Jack Ellis (UWIC) and Tom Perkins (Plymouth) taking the second and third place (respectively)...

Experts are advising surfers to be extra careful when entering the coastal waters of Cornwall after multiple killer whale sightings in the area. The super predator, which is not a regular visitor to the English Channel, was spotted by ocean scientist, Dom Clarke, as he was walking along the cliffs of Trevose Head. Cornish Surf Season in Full Swing.
The British surf season is in full swing and 2011 is turning out to be a pretty damn amazing year. Last week saw some of the best waves in years arrive in Cornwall. Cribbar Draws Surfers to the South West.
Last weekend bore witness to a rare coastal phenomenon that caused waves of up to 30 feet to form along the south coast of the U.K. In scenes more reminiscent of California than Cornwall, hoards of surfers descended on Fistral Beach to watch the coming of the “Cribbar”, Cornwall’s allusive giant waves. These oceanic monsters are caused by a combination of a mid-Atlantic swell and strong winds...

Surfers, kayakers and windsurfers alike have been coming face-to-face with marine creatures not normally associated with the U.K.’s coastal waters. Summer Surf 2010 – looking back at the best of U.K. surfing

The surf season in the U.K. is drawing to a close, but is by no means over yet. Some of the best surf is still to be had throughout September and, if you can take the cold, into the month of October as well. That said, we’ve definitely had the best of what 2010 is going to offer and it’s certainly not been a disappointing year. Once again, it seems Cornwall was the place to be. August 09th...

Scuba Diving at The Lizard Peninsula.
Scuba Diving at The Lizard Peninsula: Located on the South Coast of Cornwall, The Lizard Peninsula enjoys the dubious distinction of being England’s top wrecking place.
