Planning Underway For 2013 Freestyle Skiing Festival

Norway 2013 FIS Freestyle Skiing FestivalThe six day FIS Freestyle Skiing Festival 2013 will be staged in Norway it was announced recently. Planning for the extreme snow sports event is already underway. It will be held in March 2013 in the Norwegian municipality of Voss.

An estimated 350 competitor from 35 different countries are expected to compete at the event, which will include courses such as the half pipe and dual moguls, hotly contested by some of the world’s best snow athletes.

The festival is scheduled to kick off on 5th March in Oslo with a large half pipe competition. It will then progress onto the new, start-of-the-art Myrkdalen Venue for the Moguls, Aerial, Dual Moguls, Slopestyle and Ski Cross Competitions.

The event will be broadcast live on national television in Norway on the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation, but it will also be available to watch online, via the “Festival Portal”. The festival has become one of the main features of the international snow calendar and is likely to attract considerable interest from across the globe.
