Podium results and video below.
Canoe Slalom World Cup 3 - Spain - David Florence wins silver medal
David Florence returned to winning form in the third Canoe Slalom World Cup of the season in Spain after he bagged a silver medal for Great Britain in the C1 event. The 29-year-old Scottish paddler showed immense form in the final of the C1 competition, taking the lead at the start of the race, but he was pipped into second place by Spaniard, Jordi Domenjo. French competitor and double Olympic champion, Tony Estanguet, incurred a 4 second penalty, which saw him pushed into third place.

Canoe Slalom World Cup 3 - 2012 - Podium - 1st Domenjo (Spain), 2nd Florence (Britain) and 3rd Estanguet (France) David Florence, who took a silver medal at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, has had mixed success at this year’s World Cup series. He made canoeing history at the first World Cup in Wales, when he secured gold medals in the C1 and a C2 event. This epic performance was followed by disappointing results in the second World Cup in Pau, France.

David Florence is considered one of the U.K.’s strongest prospects for medal success at Eton Dorney Lake (the London Olympic Games). He will compete in the men’s C1 event, as well as in the C2 competition with partner, Richard Hounslow. They will  be joined in the C2 race by fellow British paddlers, Tim Baillie and Etienne Stott. Also competing will be Lizzie Neave, who was the only British competitor to take a medal at the second Canoe Slalom World Cup in France. Neave will compete in the women’s K1 race.
